Tin Win Describe – Artist U Aung Khin

Sayar U Aung Khin was born, in 1921, at Nat Kyun village located in Mon Ywar district, Sar Linn Gyi Township. He drew the paintings in Mandalay, the upper state of myanmar and also the student of Sayar U Ba Nyan. Although he is the student of U Ba Nyan, the way he created the painting is different from his master. He painted based on his passion rather than selling them. Mostly, he created the paintings according to his mind. This Mahamyatmuni painting is one of his favorite ones. There is also another one of Mahamyatmuni painting in a closer view and, sometimes, he drew the remote-view paintings of Mahamyatmuni from the angle of the golden pillars of the pagoda. But this painting was created in 1979. The remote-view painting of Maharmyatmuni that I recently told is bought and collected by a Singapore museum. Both of the paintings are the same concept. This one is closer view and the one collected by Singapore museum is remote view. Most of his paintings are systematically maintained by his family. That’s why, it is hard to see his artworks in public. The photo of this Maharmyatmuni painiting is included on page number 113 of the book named Master Artist U Aung Khin produced by his family.
